The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will look to close out a .500 season in Week 17 when they host the Atlanta Falcons, and they will have their playmaker quarterback on hand. The team announced its inactives and quarterback Jameis Winston is active and starting the season finale.
Winston has been dealing with a thumb injury on his throwing hand, but has played through it. He was a limited participant in practice on Wednesday and then got in full work on Thursday and Friday. He was listed as questionable on the final injury report, but the expectation has been that he will play.
Winston faces an atrocious Falcons pass defense, ranked 24th in DraftKings fantasy points allowed to quarterbacks. At $6,600, Winston is a solid value in Week 17. It will be a roller-coaster of a day, considering he has a real shot at becoming the first NFL quarterback ever to throw for 30 touchdowns and 30 interceptions in the same season. Winston is turning into a two true outcomes type of quarterback with big plays going for either the offense or opposing defense most of the day. That being said, he remains a strong fantasy start.
