We’ve got a 13-game main slate set for Saturday on DraftKings and there are a few value spots we can target right away. Injuries have afforded certain reserve players new opportunities while some role players have simple found a comfort zone. Here are some bargain fantasy basketball options you should consider tonight.
Chris Boucher, PF/C, TOR vs. BOS ($3,900)
The Raptors are lacking some major frontcourt depth, and Boucher is filling the hole just fine. It’s difficult to gauge how much the big man will play, but he has high upside when he gets minutes. Boucher has scored at least 20 points in two of his last three games and could keep trending upward while Marc Gasol and Pascal Siakam continue to miss time.
Tyler Herro, SG, MIA vs. PHI ($4,600)
Herro fell off for a time in early November when Kendrick Nunn was promoted to starting point guard while Goran Dragic and Justise Winslow were injured. But now he appears to be on the rise again. The scoring guard has totaled at least 30 DKFP in four of his last five contests and even flirted with a triple-double in one of those appearances. Dragic splitting ball-handling duties with Nunn should give Herro more opportunities to thrive as a shooter.
Dorian Finney-Smith, SF/PF, DAL vs. GS ($4,800)
Finney-Smith might not have a ton of upside, but he’s been pretty consistent as of late. The Mavericks forward has played an average of 33 minutes in his last five games and has tallied an average of 26.02 DKFP. He sees so much of the court that he’s bound to have a big night sooner or later.
Derrick White, PG/SG, SA vs. DET ($4,200)
Although White is playing second fiddle to the Spurs’ starting point guard Dejounte Murray, he’s been extremely efficient with the chances he’s gotten to impact games. White has averaged 26.22 DKFP per game while logging just over 22 in each of his last five appearances. His rebound and assist numbers are on the rise, so that’s something to monitor moving forward.
Anzejs Pasecniks, C, NY vs. WAS ($3,900)
This might be a bit of a reach, but I think Pasecniks has considerable short-term upside given the injuries that have plagued the Wizards frontcourt players. The recovery of Thomas Bryant and Rui Hachimura should allow Pasecniks to get plenty of shots up. He’s notched career-high totals in points in three consecutive contests and is shooting efficiently from the field. His 30 DKFP from Thursday might’ve been an anomaly, but I think he’s worth taking a flier on in a game that could have a decent amount of garbage time.
