Zach Ertz won’t suit up for the Eagles must-win game against the Giants in the season finale. A win gives the Eagles the NFC East title and a berth into the playoffs. They could still get in if they lose and the Cowboys also lose to Washington at home.
Ertz has cracked ribs and an injured back. He played through his ribs injury in Week 16 but the healthier Dallas Goedert saw most of the work between the two. His back injury was added to the injury report on Thursday, which foretold his Sunday status. If he can get his back right, Ertz would likely be able to play through the pain, so an extra week off could get him back if the Eagles make the playoffs.
Nelson Agholor is also out again, so the Eagles are in dire need of receivers. Greg Ward and Dallas Goedert will be popular DFS plays this week and for good reason, as the Giants pass defense is poor and they will have targets funneled their way.
