Best, worst WR values in Week 17 DFS include Breshad Perriman, Amari Cooper

The last week of the regular season is here, and that means you should take advantage of Sunday’s massive 15-game slate and win some cash. Wideouts can give you bang for your buck or fool you with expensive DFS price tags.

These are the WRs with the best and worst value in terms of price on DraftKings.

BEST: Breshad Perriman (TB) — ($6,700)

It’s time to hop on the Perriman hype train. His eye-opening performance from Week 15 doesn’t appear to be a fluke. He wasn’t able to reach the end zone three times against the Texans like he did against Detroit, but did finish with 20.2 DKFP. Jameis Winston had enough faith in the wideout to target him a season high 12 times against Houston, which he converted into seven receptions for 102 yards. Perriman could have a field day against the Falcons if the ball keeps coming his way.

WORST: Julian Edelman (NE) — $7,300

Edelman has been Tom Brady’s favorite target this year, but Week 17 presents an interesting situation. A Patriots wins against the Dolphins would help New England secure a first-round bye. That might be very valuable to the deep postseason run the team hopes to make. But it’ll play one of the worst teams in the NFL, which could result in Brady being pulled early should things get out of hand early. If Edelman isn’t pulled himself he’d likely be catching passes from Jarrett Stidham. That would surely hinder the WRs production.

BEST: Amari Cooper (DAL) — $6,500

Although Cooper has been relatively cold for the past two weeks, the stars are aligning in a way that could allow him to put himself back on the map. He only recorded four receptions and 24 receiving yards on 12 targets in Week 16 and got a measly two targets the week before that. But he’ll face a Washington defense that the Giants’ Daniel Jones just hurled five touchdown passes against in Week 17. The Cowboys need a win to increase their chances at making they playoffs, and they’ll have to utilize their full offensive arsenal to make that happen.

WORST: Michael Thomas (NO) — $9,900

I know Michael Thomas broke the NFL’s single-season reception record, but rolling with him against the Panthers feels like a trap. In order for the Saints to secure the top seed in the NFC the Seahawks have to edge out the 49ers on Sunday and the Vikings have to beat the Packers on Monday Night Football. That being said, New Orleans will just have to secure its own victory and wait to see how things unfold. Frankly, it’s out of the Saints’ hands. There’s no use in running up the score, so it’s very likely we’ll see Brees in a reduced role and that Teddy Bridgewater will make an appearance. Michael Thomas is a valuable asset that must be protected, so don’t look for him to be playing meaningful snaps down the stretch come Sunday. His ceiling should be significantly lower than usual in Week 17.
