Carroll gives Marshawn Lynch ‘really good chance to play for us’

UPDATE: Marshawn Lynch is not just traveling to Seattle to discuss a reunion, he is going to take a physical according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Schefter goes on to say, “both sides are optimistic he is back wearing 24.” Whiuile, Pete Carrol said on 710 ESPN Seattle, that “we’re going to give him a really good chance to come back and play for us.

The Seahawks are in the playoffs but are down their Top-3 running backs, as Chris Carson, Rashaad Penny and C.J. Prosise all are out with various injuries. That’s where Marshawn Lynch comes in. He will travel to Seattle to discuss a possible reunion for the playoffs according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Lynch, who was a huge part of Seattle’s 2013 Super Bowl run, could reunite with his old team to go after one more ring. Lynch’s conditioning and overall ability at 33 years of age is worth questioning, but he played well before getting injured with the Raiders last season and could help the Seahawks for a few games.

He would likely have trouble seeing work against the 49ers this weekend if he does end up signing but the NFL needs Beast Mode and it would be great to see him back for a playoff run.
