Alvin Kamara busted out of his touchdown slump with a 40-yard touchdown run against the Titans in the third quarter. It was his first touchdown since Week 3 and only his second on the season after totaling 18 last season and 13 his rookie year. He is up to four carries for 58 yards and a touchdown along with four receptions for 11 yards on the day.
Kamara suffered a high ankle sprain earlier in the season and hasn’t put up the numbers he’s used to since. The Saints took the lead on his touchdown run and will need him to get back to his old self if they want to make a Super Bowl.
UPDATE
Kamara scored another touchdown to give him three on the season and put his slump far behind him. He ended up rushing 11 times for 80 yards and two touchdowns and catching 6-of-7 targets for 30 more yards. He is far enough removed from his ankle injury that he may just be back.
