Final update: Jones finishes off Washington in overtime with his fifth touchdown of the game, this one going to tight end Kaden Smith. There wasn’t much defense played in this high-scoring affair but Jones looked great in his return for an ankle injury.
Third quarter update: Jones connected with Kaden Smith for his fourth touchdown. He has 233 yards to go with the four scores as the Giants leads Washington 35-21.
Daniel Jones has played spectacularly through the first half of Week 16’s New York-Washington matchup. The rookie signal caller has picked apart Washington’s defense to help build a 28-14 lead for his team.
Jones has connected on 14 of his 18 pass attempts to the tune of 165 yards and three touchdowns. He’s totaled 19 DKPF and is spreading the ball around, as three different receivers have found the end zone through the air.
Jones may have taken a two-game hiatus to recover from the ankle sprain he suffered against the Packers, but he’s found his stride with ease after forcing Eli Manning back to the bench.
