Listen, a lot of us have had to swallow a bunch of crow this season. Ryan Tannehill jokes were low hanging fruit only a year ago, and then he lands with the Tennessee Titans, looking like an actual, viable NFL starting quarterback.
The reality is that we should probably give him another season in Tennessee, or wherever, before officially marking him as redeemed. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves here. Let’s focus on this week’s road game against the New Orleans Saints.
Tannehill was having a down day last week against the Texans, not looking very sharp, but he managed to finish with 279 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. One down week aside, he’s been one of the five best quarterbacks in fantasy since taking over the starting job in Tennessee in Week 7.
Fantasy football analysis, Tennessee Titans QB Ryan Tannehill
The Saints have been, at times, pretty good at slowing down opposing passers. That was the case last week against the Colts, but the week before that, the 49ers put up more than 500 yards through the air. It’s hard to rely on the matchup alone with this one. If Tannehill has gotten you this far, you might as well stick with him.
