Houston Texans running back Carlos Hyde has been limited in practice all week. According to the injury report, he has an ankle injury. The question is how big of a concern is it ahead of this Saturday’s game against the Buccaneers.

Hyde is officially listed as questionable for this game, giving him a 50-50 chance of playing. However, if you happen to be looking for a silver lining here it’s that he did practice this week, and despite being limited, he at least did manage to get some work done on the practice field.

As for Duke Johnson, he is healthy. But he isn’t getting much work in this offense, and isn’t likely to this week as long as Hyde can play.

Hyde had a nice game last week against the Titans, rushing for 104 yards and scoring a touchdown. He dominated the workload, getting 26 touches compared to just six for Johnson.

There’s another problem to consider here. Tampa Bay has a top 10 run defense. Even if Hyde does play, he might not be able to do much, especially if he’s not fully healthy.
