Best daily fantasy football quarterback plays over $6,000 in Week 16

The top-priced quarterbacks have the best matchups this week. Will they be worth spending the extra cash?

With the Buccaneers and Texans playin on Saturday and Aaron Rodger, Patrick Mahomes and Kirk Cousins off the slate as well, we have a fairly scaled back main slate as far as top quarterbacks go. That still leaves three studs in good matchups though.

Lamar Jackson ($8,000) at Browns

Jackson has finally reached 8k but that still isn’t enough to keep me away from the MVP as he wraps up his record-breaking season. He averages 29.1 DK points per game. That’s truly an amazing number. He has only dipped below 20 DK points once and below 25 three times this season. You won’t find a higher floor or upside and the Ravens should be primed to finish of the Browns and give themselves the No. 1 seed, a bye and a Week 17 game where they can rest some key players.

Drew Brees ($6,900) at Titans

Brees is coming off the most efficient passing game of all time against the Colts and now gets a Titans defense that is missing key defenders in their secondary. Since Week 7, the Titans have allowed the seventh-most fantasy points to quarterbacks and the Saints need the win to stay in contention for a playoff bye. Add in some extra incentive to get Michael Thomas the receptions record and I think we can count on another good game from a hot Brees.

Russell Wilson ($7,000) vs Cardinals

Wilson hasn’t been a strong fantasy quarterback in the second half of the season but we know his upside and the Cardinals have given up the most DK points to quarterbacks on the season. The only worry, and it’s a real one, is that Seattle will dominate and not need to throw the ball much. That’s what happened the first time these two teams played in Week 4. But Wilson shouldn’t have any trouble doing whatever he wants against their defense, so I expect an extremely efficient game, which should lead to passing touchdowns.
