The New York Giants have two games left in a forgettable 2019 season, and rookie quarterback Daniel Jones is expected to start both of them. Head coach Pat Shurmur announced on Friday that Jones will return to the starting lineup in Week 16 after missing two weeks with a high ankle sprain.
Jones has had some issues, but it’s been a decent enough rookie season in which he’s started ten games and appeared in one more. He’s completed 61.6 percent of his passes for 2,374 yards with 18 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. One concern is his fumbles, with three on the season.
Fantasy football analysis: Giants offense
The Giants face an inconsistent, often bad Washington defense in Week 16. Jones won’t be in most starting lineups, but plenty will look to roll the dice with Saquon Barkley, Darius Slayton, Golden Tate, and a host of other options. They have limited upside, but solid enough floors based on recent performances. It will come down to the other options you can roll out as none are must-start this week. Barkley would be the closest to a must start against a particularly bad Washington run defense.
