The NFL kicks off its penultimate week on Saturday with an NFL Network triple-header. Those six teams released their final injury reports Thursday afternoon, and Friday is bringing final reports for the Sunday schedule.
Plenty of money has already come in on the slate, and we have some notable betting splits for Week 16. The craziest one might be all the money on the Vikings over the Packers on Monday Night Football. 95 percent of the handle on the point spread and 97 percent of the handle on the money line is backing Minnesota. I suspect we’ll see that percentage come down by Monday evening, but even at this early juncture, that’s kind of crazy pants. The Vikings are the home team and playing well, but that strikes me as some serious disrespect for the Packers.
We have only one split of money vs. bets on the point spread. 61 percent of the handle is on the favored Colts, while 55 percent of tickets bet is on the Panthers. With Will Grier making his debut, sports bettors seem to be all over the place on this one.
