We don’t have many big injuries to track for Monday’s six-game slate on DraftKings, though there are a few that may impact value. A couple of names on the Memphis Grizzlies are questionable and could open up additional playing time, plus the Atlanta Hawks may be without one of their key rookies. Let’s take a look at the top value plays to consider:
De’Andre Hunter, ATL vs. GSW, $5,000 — Hunter is the healthy rookie for the Hawks while Cam Reddish enters tonight questionable. If Reddish sits, I don’t know if it immediately impacts Hunter, but there will be more minutes and usage available. Prior to the Hawks’ embarrassing loss over the weekend, Hunter had played at least 34 minutes in five straight games. If he sees 30+ minutes tonight, returning value in this matchup seems likely.
Marquese Chriss, GSW at ATL, $4,900 — On the other side of the Dubs-Hawks game, there’s Chriss, who is another youngster thrust into a larger role for Golden State. Chriss is coming off a dud vs. the Magic, but prior to that game had posted at least 24.25 DKFP in seven straight games. The Hawks’ front court is banged up still and this is a matchup Chriss can reach value in.
Dennis Smith Jr., NYK at MIL, $3,200 — Frank Ntilikina is questionable and if he were to sit, we’d see a lot of DSJ tonight vs. the Milwaukee Bucks. Ntilikina hasn’t been all that great this season anyway, so even if he does play, Smith could see increased minutes. With Ntilikina hurt over the weekend vs. the Celtics, DSJ played 38 minutes and posted 17 points with seven assists. Smith is a bit of a head-case, but is relatively talented, so he offers a high ceiling/usage if Frank sits.
Grayson Allen, MEM vs. IND, $3,200 — The Grizz are dealing with a few injuries: Kyle Anderson, Brandon Clarke and Jonas Valanciunas. This has thinned their rotation a bit and Allen is coming off 30 minutes with 13 points and five boards in a win over the Timberwolves. With Ja Morant (back) out indefinitely, Allen should continue to see minutes at guard and is a sneaky scorer. At this price, I don’t mind rolling him out despite a tough matchup.
