UPDATE: Carlos Hyde is ACTIVE and will play against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Houston Texans wrapped up their Week 16 practice schedule on Thursday, and running back Carlos Hyde is officially questionable for their matchup with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Hyde was added to the injury report to open the week, listed as limited on Tuesday with an ankle injury. He sat out practice on Wednesday and then got in a limited session on Thursday before the final designation.

Fantasy football analysis: Texans RB Carlos Hyde

Hyde plays in the early slot on Saturday, so there is plenty of time to get decisions finalized for the rest of the roster. If Hyde plays, he’s not a great start given the strength of the Bucs run defense this season. He’s going to get plenty of carries and could pick up a touchdown at some point, but he’s not a high ceiling player.

Duke Johnson will remain a low ceiling flex PPR option in deeper leagues at best. If Hyde were to sit, he becomes a little more intriguing, but the Bucs solid run defense makes this a less than stellar matchup overall.
