Tampa Bay Buccaneers kicker Matt Gay was a limited participant in practice on Tuesday due to a groin injury suffered in Week 15. The Bucs play the Houston Texans on Saturday, and given that Gay was at least limited, he would seem to be on track to play in the game.

It’s a slightly shorter week due to the Saturday schedule, which means we’ll get two more practice participation reports on Wednesday and Thursday. Gay is rostered in 81.9 percent of ESPN fantasy football leagues and is starting on 72.4 of teams that roster him. He’s a regular option for a Bucs offense that ranks third in points scored.

Fantasy football analysis: Bucs K Matt Gay

The Bucs face a shaky Texans defense, so there should be plenty of opportunity to move the ball up and down the field. The Bucs will likely be without Mike Evans and Chris Godwin, so the offense could take a hit. Gay is still worth starting, but his ceiling might come down a little bit.
