Vikings RB Dalvin Cook is unlikely to play the rest of the regular season, ESPN’s Adam Schefter alluded to Monday night.
Adam Schefter just said he would be surprised if Dalvin Cook plays again in the regular season but it came off more as opinion than report. Holding Cook out for these final two games, would be an excellent idea.

Cook went down in the Vikings’ blowout win over the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 15 due to a shoulder injury. Schefter seems to believe that Minnesota will be cautious with Cook heading into the playoffs and make sure he’s healthy.
Fantasy Football Analysis: Minnesota Vikings RB Dalvin Cook
After Cook left Sunday’s game, Ameer Abdullah and Mike Boone took up the bulk of the carries the rest of the game. Boone was the more impressive back, finishing with 56 yards and two TDs on 13 carries. C.J. Ham was actually used as the pass-catching back, so it’s unclear who will dominate the backfield (if any) in Week 16 vs. the Green Bay Packers. Boone is the most appealing options if you’re considering a replacement for Cook in your championship round. But I wouldn’t be surprised if Abdullah and Boone split carries.
