Pittsburgh Steelers RB James Conner is active for Week 15 on Sunday Night Football vs. the Buffalo Bills. This is a huge game with AFC Wild Card implications, so the Steelers getting their top back into the fold again should provide a boost. Pittsburgh holds the No. 6 seed in the AFC, but is tied at 8-5 with the Tennessee Titans. Conner hasn’t played since Week 11 because of a shoulder injury, but is expected to start.
Fantasy Football Analysis: Pittsburgh Steelers RB James Conner
I can’t say I’d advise you to wait and play Conner on SNF in your fantasy football playoff matchup. Conner is expected to split carries with Benny Snell Jr. and Jaylen Samuels in a three-headed dragon (hydra) type of deal vs. Buffalo. This makes Conner a very risky play, since we don’t know how many carries he’ll get — let alone how many touches. Conner could see goal line work, but let’s be real, the Bills aren’t an ideal matchup for that either. Buffalo only allows 105.3 yards per game on the ground and 16.3 points per game this season. The ‘Lers play better at home, but this isn’t the type of game in which we should expect a high score. I think Conner is better served on the bench — maybe he’s a FLEX option in a deep PPR league, but that’s about it.
