New Orleans Saints tight end Jared Cook came off the team’s final injury report on Saturday, and is expected to play on Monday Night Football. Cook suffered a concussion last Sunday and had to work through the concussion protocol this week. However, after a limited workout on Thursday he progressed to full workouts on Friday and Saturday and received no designation after the last practice.
Fantasy football analysis: Saints TE Jared Cook
The Colts have given up the 12th most fantasy points to the tight end and Cook is on a roll the past four weeks. He caught two touchdowns on his only two receptions last week before the concussion. The previous three weeks he had three receptions for 85 yards, six for 99 and a touchdown, and two for 33 and a touchdown.
Cook is a strong start on Monday. The only reason for caution is if concussion symptoms suddenly returned Sunday or into Monday. If that happened, Josh Hill would start in his place. There does not appear to be a need to add him to your rosters, but it’s something to keep in mind heading into Monday.
