UPDATE: Jordan Howard is officially OUT for Week 15.

It has become a rather familiar refrain in Philadelphia. Jordan Howard gets in a week’s worth of limited practices, but fails to get cleared for contact because of his injured shoulder and is eventually declared inactive.

This has been the recurring nightmare for Howard and his fantasy owners since Week 9, and it’s going to happen again this weekend against Washington. Howard is officially listed as questionable for Week 15, but has not been cleared for contact and is not expected to play.

Once again, rookie Miles Sanders is expected to handle the bulk of the carries in this must-win game against Washington. The new wrinkle for the Eagles is the sudden emergence of Boston Scott, who played a huge role in the Eagles’ second-half comeback against the Giants on Monday night.

Sanders is still expected to get the bulk of the carries, but any sort of in-game injury – which is what opened the door for Scott on Monday – or turnover could make Scott the main man in the Eagles’ backfield.
