After missing a Week 14 match-up with the Denver Broncos with a hamstring injury, Will Fuller was able to get in limited practices Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday this week and heads into Sunday with a questionable tag. On Sunday, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Fuller is expected to play.
Fantasy football analysis: Texans WR Will Fuller
With the season on the line in a key divisional match-up, odds are the Texans are going to play Will Fuller if he is able to go. Fuller has game-changing, big play potential and would be a welcomed addition to both the Texans’ active roster and fantasy owners’ starting line-ups.
Hamstring injuries are always difficult to recover from, especially for speedsters like Fuller. This leads to a rather uncomfortable amount of risk in starting him in your fantasy line-up, as there is a strong chance of re-injury. However, Fuller’s upside can not be denied. He only needs one big play to post a solid fantasy performance. Fuller was able to get in limited practices last week before being ruled out, so there’s a chance he was close to making it back for Week 14. His outlook becomes even greater, as Titans’ cornerback Adoree’ Jackson has been ruled out this week.
If Fuller were to miss Week 15, Kenny Stills would see the greatest uptick in value, though he wasn’t able to do much in Fuller’s absence in Week 14, scoring only 2.8 PPR points. Stills was held to less than 10 PPR points in Fuller’s other three absences this year as well. DeAndre Hopkins will get his share of looks regardless of Fuller’s status.
Start/Sit Recommendation:
Start Fuller as a high risk/high reward flex player if active
