Mark Andrews finds the end zone after limited week of practice

Ravens tight end Mark Andrews was questionable with a knee injury in Week 15, but he’s off to a solid start. We break down his performance.

Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews was a question mark coming into Week 15 Thursday Night Football, but he appears to be looking good. Andrews has three receptions for 16 yards and scored a touchdown to give the Ravens a 21-7 lead over the New York Jets.

The touchdown took a little bit of time to actually get sorted out. Andrews appeared to have a touchdown pass from quarterback Lamar Jackson, but it was taken off the board after a penalty for an illegal formation. That was followed by a pair of Jets encroachment penalties. FINALLY, the Ravens ran an unpenalized play and Jackson found Andrews for the short score.

Andrews is having a strong fantasy season after a breakout rookie season in 2018. He ranks fourth in fantasy points and eighth in fantasy points per game. Given the lack of depth at the tight end position, he offers solid stability and will be in the first tier of tight ends drafted next summer.
