What to do with Le’Veon Bell in Week 15 fantasy football

Le’Veon Bell returns to action in Week 15 against the Ravens. We break down the fantasy football start/sit considerations for Thursday Night Football.

The New York Jets injury report is kind of ridiculous this week, with 14 players getting some kind of designation. One bit of good news is that the team was able to remove running back Le’Veon Bell from the final injury report. He sat out on Sunday with an illness, but was a full participant in practice all week.

In related non-bowling news, backup Bilal Powell will not play on Thursday due to an ankle injury and an illness. He started in place of Bell on Sunday and rushed 19 times for 74 yards and caught two passes for 14 yards. Ty Montgomery served as Powell’s backup, rushing nine times for 31 yards and catching three passes for 30 yards. Montgomery is questionable with foot and hip issues.

Fantasy football analysis: Jets RB Le’Veon Bell

Bell struggled against the Bengals two weeks ago, rushing ten times for 32 yards and catching four passes for 35 yards. Prior to that, he had scored at least 13 points in 0.5 PPR leagues in four straight weeks. His days as a consistent standard league must-start are behind us, but he remains a very solid PPR option. His ceiling is not what it was, but he maintains a respectable floor.

This week he faces a Ravens defense that has given up the eighth fewest fantasy points to running backs and their defensive front ranks fourth in adjusted line yards. They’re a solid defense, but Bell is going to get plenty of volume to boost his value.
