What to do with Ravens D/ST in Week 15 on TNF

Baltimore has held five straight opponents to under 20 points. We break down whether you should play or bench the Ravens’ defense this week.

The Baltimore Ravens are on top of the AFC at 11-2 and have been anchored most of the season by its elite defense. The Ravens have held opponents to 17 points or fewer in five straight weeks, and have done so in nine games total this season. Putting the matchup aside for a second, Baltimore ranks 6th in yards allowed per game (314.6) and 5th in points allowed per game (18.2). The Ravens are also top 6 in terms of turnover differential at +8 on the season, forcing 20 total takeaways. Overall, this is as good a spot as any D/ST all week.

Fantasy Football Analysis: Baltimore Ravens Defense/Special Teams

You absolutely have to start the Ravens D/ST on Thursday Night Football vs. the New York Jets at home. The Ravens are probably the top unit all week not named the New England Patriots (vs. the Cincinnati Bengals). I always preach this, but the home team on Thursday Night Football is always in a favorable spot. I mentioned how well the Ravens limit points and they generally force a few turnovers, which Sam Darnold is prone to. The last time Darnold played an elite defense (Patriots on Oct. 21), he threw for four INTs and saw ghosts, apparently. That’s the type of ceiling Baltimore’s D/ST has in this game.
