James Harden saved the Houston Rockets from a very, very, very bad loss Wednesday night, scoring 55 points to defeat the Cleveland Cavaliers. Harden went 20-of-34 from the field and 10-of-18 from downtown, finally finding his outside shot in the right game. It wasn’t all the hard consider how poorly the Cavs are defensively.
At $12,900, Harden was nearly $13,000, which is nuts. But the even crazier part is he actually returned value by hitting 80.75 DKFP on the night, effectively breaking the slate. It was a nice bounce back after Harden failed to reach 60 DKFP in three straight games. It’s his fourth game of 50+ points on the season, as the NBA’s leading scorer continues to trek towards the record books.
As for the betting lines, well, the Cavaliers were huge underdogs on the night and actually covered the spread pretty easily. Cleveland closed as 11.5 point underdogs and only lost 116-110. That most likely paid off huge if you banked on the Cavs pulling through tonight.
Amid all the trade rumors, Kevin Love had a decent night with 17 points and 11 rebounds in the loss. The Cavs are supposedly trying to showcase the forward before a trade, so this will hopefully help him get dealt to a contender already.
