Julian Edelman sits out Wednesday practice, Mohamed Sanu listed as limited

Patriots WR Julian Edelman sat out Wednesday’s practice. He should be fine for Week 15, but will be worth monitoring this week. We break down the fantasy football implications.

New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman has been banged up for much of the 2019 season, and he can now add a knee injury to the list. Edelman has been questionable in recent weeks with a shoulder injury, but the team added the knee injury on their Week 15 Wednesday practice report. Fellow receiver Mohamed Sanu is listed as limited with his on-going ankle injury.

Edelman is likely to be on the injury report each of these final three weeks, so this is not a particularly surprising development. The new injury is a bit concerning, but Edelman has yet to miss a game this season. As long as he advances into some kind of practice on Thursday and Friday, he should be good to go for Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Fantasy football analysis: Patriots WR Julian Edelman, Mohamed Sanu

The Bengals have been fairly decent defending wide receivers, but Edelman is still a must-start in this matchup if he is active. Sanu is of some value, but is not a must-start. He’s a flex option depending on how deep your roster is.
