We don’t have many fantasy football slates left on DraftKings for 2019. Heading into Week 15, we’ll take a look at the wide receiver position, identifying the best and worst values. It’s important to consider both high-priced and bargain WRs for DFS.
Here we’ll provide some analysis for lineup construction for Week 15, highlighting which tight ends you should pay up for, and which WRs are worth fading.
BEST: Julio Jones (ATL) — $7,000
We’re used to seeing Julio at a much higher price point and while he’s had a down season, I think this is the perfect GPP spot. The Falcons are on the road vs. the 49ers, which appears to be a horrible matchup. But CB Richard Sherman may be sidelined and we know the game script will force Matt Ryan to throw. Jones could see double-digit targets if Calvin Ridley is sidelined as well. I think Julio’s floor is safe and we all know his ceiling.
WORST: Davante Adams (GB) — $7,600
The Packers offense has been an enigma this season and there aren’t many options at WR behind Adams. This has actually hurt his fantasy value, since it’s easy for teams to game plan around blanketing Adams and not allowing him separation. The Bears defense has also been enigmatic, but they have the pass rush to disrupt QB Aaron Rodgers. Overall I think this price is too high and Adams is worth fading.
BEST: Marvin Jones (DET) — $5,200
The Lions-Bucs game should be a laser show and Jones is the type of cheap WR with a high ceiling we like to target in GPPs. Even without Matthew Stafford, I think David Blough will be able to figure out Tampa Bay’s secondary. Jones saw seven targets in Week 14 vs. the Vikings, so that volume is encouraging.
WORST: D.J. Moore (CAR) — $6,600
The Panthers are kind of unraveling after the firing of coach Ron Rivera, and they just got handed a beat down by the Falcons. Moore’s price is way up for a matchup vs. the Seahawks, who have actually played OK defensively since the start of the season. I think if Seattle’s pass rush shows up, Kyle Allen will have a tough time finding Moore. I also just think there are much more appealing WR options in this price range.
