UPDATE, 6:08 p.m.: The Rams are routing the Cardinals in Week 13, leading 34-0 after a second pick six. Jared Goff is having a huge day with 405 passing yards and two touchdowns. Robert Woods has been a regular target for him, hauling in ten receptions on a team-leading 14 targets for 160 yards midway through the third quarter.
UPDATE, 5:13 p.m.: Late in the second quarter, Jared Goff has thrown for 255 yards and a touchdown. Robert Woods has eight receptions for 94 yards, and Tyler Higbee has emerged with six receptions for 98 yards and a touchdown.
Jared Goff had gone three games without throwing a touchdown, but ended his drought in Arizona, hitting Tyler Higbee for a two-yard touchdown to go up 10-0 at the end of the first quarter. Goff is at 171 yards and a touchdown just into the second quarter.
Goff’s main target has been Robert Woods, who have seven receptions for 76 yards in the first quarter. That’s a 28 reception pace on the day if you were wondering! Woods was the top targeted receiver last week for Goff as well.
The other receiver Goff has looked for is tight end Tyler Higbee, who caught that touchdown pass and also has four receptions for 52 yards. The Cardinals inability to cover tight ends doesn’t seem to be going away anytime soon.
