UPDATE: George Kittle is listed as doubtful for Week 10.
The San Francisco 49ers host the Seattle Seahawks in Week 10 on Monday Night Football, and tight end George Kittle remains a huge question mark. Kittle took a helmet to the knee in Week 9 and suffered a knee and ankle injury that still has issues according to a midweek MRI. His status for Monday remains in doubt, according to beat writer Matt Maiocco.
Kittle returned to the game after the helmet shot and had a solid performance. He finished with six receptions for 79 yards and a touchdown. However, he was on the sideline for the final drive of the game when the 49ers were trying to run out the clock. He has since missed both Thursday and Friday practice sessions due to the injury. The 49ers have one more practice on Saturday before issuing their final injury report.
Fantasy football waiver wire replacements for George Kittle
If Kittle is your tight end, you’re going to be stuck making a tough decision. Ross Dwelley would start in Kittle’s place if the latter is inactive. Dwelley is owned in 0.3 percent of leagues, so it’s all but assured you could secure his services to have in case Kittle is in fact ruled out for the game.
Dwelley is not exactly a huge ceiling option as far as we can tell, so you might look at some Sunday options as well. Some decent alternatives owned in less than 50 percent of ESPN leagues include Jonnu Smith (replacing Delanie Walker), Jack Doyle, Kyle Rudolph and Irv Smith, Chris Herndon, and Mike Gesicki.
