Best daily fantasy football running back plays under $6,000 in Week 10

If you’re looking to save at the running back position this week in your DFS lineup, here are a few names to look at.

You may go big on one running back slot, but you then need to fill the other one AND a flex spot with moderately priced backs if you want to have any good wide receivers or tight ends in your lineup. That’s why it’s important to have cheaper names on your team who could take full advantage of their favorable matchup and get you the largest return.

With that said, here are three running backs, all under $6,000, who are great names to have in all your daily fantasy lineups this week.

David Montgomery (vs Lions) - $5,300

I’ll try to write this as quietly as possible as to not draw too much attention to it because I think DraftKings made a mistake here because there is no way they meant to have Montgomery this cheap this week. The Bears’ rookie running back is coming off back-to-back performances where he put up over 20 fantasy points and now faces a Lions defense that is giving up the most rushing yards to backs in the last four weeks. Oh, and they’ve allowed the most fantasy points this year. This is a matchup Montgomery is ready to destroy!

Jamaal Williams (vs Panthers) - $5,200

If you read my top running back plays over $6,000 you know I love this matchup for the Packers’ backfield. The Panthers are allowing the sixth fantasy points to running backs this season. We’ve seen plenty of games in which both Aaron Jones and Williams have great fantasy games and I don’t expect this week to be any different. Williams as now scored a touchdown either on the ground or through the air in his last four games and I can see that streak continuing against a defense that’s given up the most rushing touchdowns this year.

Devin Singletary (@ Browns) - $5,000

Finally the Bills have given the backfield over to Singletary and he’s rewarded them with two strong performances on both the ground and through the air. The whole Browns team is a mess but their run defense has been particularly bad, allowing the tenth most fantasy points this season and a running back to score in three of their last four games. Singletary seemingly has command of the backfield now and will continue to roll Sunday.
