It looks like the Minnesota Vikings will be without the services of wide receiver Adam Thielen this weekend against the Dallas Cowboys. He sat out practice on Wednesday, and was again sitting on Thursday, according to beat writer Chris Tomasson. The reports from practice are that it is unlikely he plays this Sunday.
Thielen aggravated a hamstring injury on Sunday after missing a week due to the injury. The coaching staff does not believe they brought him back too quickly, but hamstring injuries can be easily aggravated. One would think they’ll be a bit more conservative this time around.
Fantasy football analysis: Vikings WRs Adam Thielen, Olabisi Johnson
Stefon Diggs will be the team’s top receiver on Sunday Night Football, but Olabisi Johnson stands to gain the most work with Thielen sidelined. And Johnson likely has some modest value in the coming weeks. The timeline on Thielen’s return is TBD, and as mentioned above, a conservative approach would not be surprising. Diggs is a must start this weekend, and look for Johnson and tight ends Kyle Rudolph and Irv Smith all to see a nice bump in targets.
