The Carolina Panthers travel to face the Green Bay Packers in Week 10, and they have a question at wide receiver. Curtis Samuel sat out Wednesday’s practice with a hamstring injury. Last week, Samuel had three catches for 64 yards and a touchdown, and also one run for ten yards. He played 75 percent of the team’s offensive snaps.
He was joined by running back Christian McCaffrey, who was sidelined with what was listed as a knee injury. CMC regularly gets the Wednesday off, so it’s not something to be concerned about. Samuel is a different question. He sat out last Wednesday and Friday with a shoulder injury, so this is a new injury.
Fantasy football analysis: Panthers WR Curtis Samuel
Any Samuel absence would boost the value of D.J. Moore and Greg Olsen, although CMC would likely see even more targets than he normally gets.
Wednesday practice is always a tough one for gauging the fantasy implications of an injury. If Samuel is a DNP on Thursday, then it’s time to worry.
