The Atlanta Falcons returned to practice on Wednesday following their Week 9 bye, and quarterback Matt Ryan will get in a limited session. Ryan sprained his ankle in Week 7 and missed the team’s Week 8 game against Seattle. He sat out practice the first two days of that week before getting in a limited Friday practice. He was listed as questionable, but it was no surprise when he was deactivated.

Matt Schaub started in Ryan’s place in Week 8 and had a monster game. He threw for 460 yards, with one touchdown and one interception.

Fantasy football analysis: Falcons QB Matt Ryan

If Ryan gets in three limited sessions this week, it bodes fairly well for his chances. However, I feel like given the ankle issue the team would want him to get a full session in before they clear him to play. Either way, look for him to be listed as questionable on the final injury report.

The Falcons face the New Orleans Saints in Week 10, and while the defense has been solid, they have given up the 12th most fantasy points to quarterbacks. This could end up a shootout in the Superdome. Schaub is a shaky start outside of two-QB leagues, but if you’re short-handed due to a bye or injury, he’s got some upside.
