T.Y. Hilton suffered a calf injury in practice last week, which coach Frank Reich says is usually 3-4 weeks downtime. Hilton’s injury was followed by Parris Campbell, who fractured his hand in Week 9 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Campbell won’t go on injured reserve, but he will miss significant time.
While Colts’ receivers spend time in the medical tent, Zach Pascal has shown that he is healthy and ready for more work. Two weeks ago, Pascal caught 6-of-7 targets for 106 yards and two touchdowns. Last week against the Steelers, he caught 5-of-6 targets for 76 yards and another touchdown. Sandwiched between those two games was a one catch for six yards dud.
Fantasy football analysis: Indianapolis Colts WRs Zach Pascal, Parris Campbell,
Now with Hilton and Campbell on the shelf, Pascal should be the No. 1 target with a great matchup on the horizon. Miami will bring their Xavien Howard and Minkah Fitzpatrick-less pass defense to Indianapolis, which will give Pascal and his compatriots plenty of easy looks.
The starters should be Pascal and Deon Cain on the outside and Chester Rogers in the slot while Eric Ebron and Jack Doyle share time at tight end. The Dolphins can be taken advantage of all over the field, so there isn’t one position we want to key in on for the passing offense. But we do know that Pascal has been the most productive of the receivers left and should lead the way against a Dolphins team that gives up the most fantasy points per reception to wide receivers.
Chester Rogers would be my fall back if I can’t get Pascal off of waivers for this week, but I’d much rather get Pascal, especially if Hilton ends up missing a month. At this point in the season, if you need him as a bye week fill-in and possible starter for a few weeks, you might as well be bold in your FAAB bid or your waiver wire priority.
