The NFL wrapped up a rather unusual Week 9 with a Monday Night Football contest that sort of put things back on track. Prior to Monday, every single true home team had covered the spread in their Week 9 contest, and all but one had won their game outright. The Giants entered Monday evening as a 6.5-point underdog, and for much of the night, they gave the Cowboys trouble. However, things went south for the Giants in the fourth quarter, as they were outscored 21-3 en route to a 37-18 loss to the Cowboys.
The home dominance resulted in a couple somewhat unexpected results in Week 9. The Patriots were thumped in Baltimore by the Ravens, dominated for much of the game in a 37-20 loss. In Miami, the Dolphins beat the Jets 26-18 in a game that saw them take a lead in the second quarter and never look back. We’re now left with one undefeated team in the 49ers and one winless team in the Bengals.
Week 10 is upon us, and we’re back with a look at how the betting public did in a different form of power ranking. DraftKings Sportsbook put together a list of the top ten teams that won users the most money during NFL Week 9.
It is not surprising the Ravens top the list with their upset of the Patriots as a field goal underdog. This is the first time in a while it’s been all winners. Arizona was the lone team to cover the spread but not win their game, and in that game, over 95 percent of the handle and total bets was on the 49ers.
Here are the top ten teams that earned DraftKings users the most money in Week 9.
- Baltimore Ravens
- Houston Texans
- Kansas City Chiefs
- Philadelphia Eagles
- Pittsburgh Steelers
- Los Angeles Chargers
- Denver Broncos
- Miami Dolphins
- Buffalo Bills
- Oakland Raiders
