The New York Jets are scuffling along, and they’re now awaiting word on a concerning situation. Running back Le’Veon Bell injured his knee in Week 9 and is now awaiting results from an MRI, according to beat writer Dennis Waszak.
Bell rushed 17 times for 66 yards and caught eight passes for 55 yards in the team’s loss to the Miami Dolphins. Head coach Adam Gase said that Bell never said anything during or immediately after the game, and instead the coach first heard about it, according to Waszak. Gase said he found out, “when Bell needed to miss some things to get the MRI done” but he also doesn’t want to get too alarmed while this is being evaluated.
Fantasy football analysis: Jets RB Le’Veon Bell
This will certainly be something to watch. The Jets face the Giants in Week 10 and return to practice on Wednesday. I suspect we’ll hear some anonymous sourcing with an update. If Bell has to miss any time, Ty Montgomery and Bilal Powell are the two primary options.
