Best daily fantasy football WR plays under $5,500 in Week 13

The Sunday kickoffs for Week 13 are almost here, and it’s time to start plotting out your Week 13 DFS lineups. In Week 12, a lot of the usual suspects dominated, but we had some under-the-radar names step up in a big way to key folks to victory.

If you splurge elsewhere in your DFS lineup, you might need to scrap the bottom of the barrel to fill out the rest of your lineup. If you’re able to save a little more money on a player, who not make it the wide receiver position?

So here are three best wide receiver plays under $5,500 that could provide the best value for Week 13. Values from DraftKings.

Tyrell Williams (OAK) - $5,400

After Antonio Brown went full “Antonio Brown” and was released by the Oakland Raiders, that left Tyrell Williams as the team’s de factor #1 option at wide receiver. After scoring in each of the Raiders’ first five games, Williams has yet to find the end zone since. A matchup against the division rival Kansas City Chiefs likely means a high-scoring affair if the Raiders want to stay competitive, so this could be the week Williams scores a touchdown for the first time since the end of October.

Sterling Shepard (NYG) - $4,900

The New York Giants don’t have the best matchup on paper this week as they are set to host the Green Bay Packers who are ranked 15th in the NFL against opposing wide receivers. For Shepard, though, it’s more about who’s missing on his own team than who is lining up across from him. The Giants have already ruled out Golden Tate and Evan Engram this week, leaving Shepard as really the only option at receiver for Daniel Jones. Shepard had his best games early in the season when Tate served his early suspension, so it could be a return of Shepard leading his team in both targets and receptions.

AJ Brown (TEN) - $5,300

The Tennessee Titans look like a new team with Ryan Tannehill at quarterback. Brown is coming off the best game of his career last week, catching four passes for a whopping 135 yards and a touchdown against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Brown and the Titans could have a similar showing this week against the Indianapolis Colts and the NFL’s 4th-worst defense against opposing wide receivers. Brown has quickly come out of nowhere in 2019, but another strong showing this week could leave him here to stay in DFS lineups the rest of the season.
