How to handle Marquise Brown’s injury in Week 9 fantasy football

Brown is back in action this week, but against the Patriots defense, does it even matter?

Marquise Brown will be back in action this week after a two-game absence kept him out of the Baltimore Ravens lineup. With the team on a bye last week, Brown had some time to rest and recuperate before a headline matchup against the New England Patriots.

It’s been a minute since we could write excitedly about Brown. He started the season on fire with 147-yard, two-touchdown game in Week 1. His second week of NFL action wasn’t bad either with 86 yards, but he started to trail off after that. Finally, an ankle injury knocked him out of action after Week 5.

Officially, the Ravens have him listed as questionable. However, head coach John Harbaugh said the he expects Brown to play on Sunday night despite the official listing.

Brown’s return could not come at a better time for the Ravens. The team is riding a three-game win streak into their toughest matchup of the season. For fantasy purposes, however, Brown’s return is somewhat less exciting. The Patriots pass defense is downright suffocating; they haven’t allowed an opposing team to throw for more than 200 total yards since Week 4.

You might be better off waiting a week to get Brown back into fantasy action.
