How to handle T.Y. Hilton’s injury in Week 9 fantasy football

The Colts receiver is out this week. Here’s how to work around his absence.

The Indianapolis Colts will not have wide receiver T. Y. Hilton when the take on the Pittsburgh Steelers this week. The team ruled him out on Friday. Hilton has a calf injury which happened earlier this week in practice.

The Colts don’t throw the ball very much, but when they do, it usually goes to Hilton. He has turned into the rare receiver with a pretty consistent weekly floor, with games usually hovering between 50-70 yards and a touchdown. Those are not the kind of numbers that wow you, but the regularity of his production has made him a nice, reliable option in fantasy.

Another thing to point out here is that Colts head coach Frank Reich warned that Hilton’s injury could keep him out as long as three to four weeks. If that’s the case, you’ll need to plan accordingly as we get into the stretch run of fantasy season.

Without Hilton in the lineup, Zach Pascal is your next best bet. He had a huge game two weeks ago, with more than 100 yards and a touchdown against the Texans.

Rookie Paris Campbell is another potential option. A second-round pick, he got blanked on the stat sheet last week, but he has the talent to breakout at any time.
