Jameis Winston had yet another turnover-riddled day in Week 8, as he threw two interceptions and lost two fumbles against the Titans. That comes after an even worse game where he threw five interceptions and lost two fumbles against the Panthers in Week 7. He’s turnover prone, but these numbers are crazy.

If you take out the turnovers, he’s put up 701 yards passing, three touchdowns and 54 rushing yards in those two games. He’s putting up fantasy numbers, as he finished as QB10 in Week 8, despite his four turnovers. And if he doesn’t get benched after these two games, he’s probably not going to get benched. His job stability is an asset in this offense, where he’ll need to throw the ball a lot due to him and his defense getting the team into deficits.

In Week 9, Winston will take on a Seattle defense that ranks 19th against the pass in DVOA and fantasy points allowed to quarterbacks. They have limited touchdowns, but not yards, giving up the sixth-most passing yards. On the season, they’ve allowed both Andy Dalton and Matt Schaub to hit 418 and 460 yards passing.

Winston, like most quarterbacks, has trouble with pressure, and that leads to many of his turnovers. This week he’ll face a Seattle defense that ranks 27th in adjusted sack rate and 28th in sacks per game. They may have more luck against the Buccaneers offensive line, who rank 24th in adjusted sack rate allowed and 29th in sacks allowed per game, but at least they’ll have a fighting chance.

This matchup also has the highest over/under of the week at 52, with Seattle favored by 5.5 points. There’s little doubt that Winston will again need to throw the ball to keep up, as Russell Wilson isn’t going to lay an egg against the Buccaneers pitiful pass defense.

It’s hard not to look at this matchup as one of the best to mine for DraftKings points this week. Even with 11 turnovers in his last two games, Winston has finished with 26 and 21 DKFP, and his upside is seriously high in a shootout with Chris Godwin ($7,300), and Mike Evans ($7,200) catching passes.

Winston costs $6,100, the ninth most out of this week’s quarterbacks. For his upside, that’s a bargain. His receivers aren’t cheap, but you’ll want to stack one or both in GPPs if you go with Winston, and I plan to.
