Happy Thanksgiving! Week 13 brings the holiday and with it comes the annual triple-header of football to enjoy while eating turkey. The middle game of the day features the Dallas Cowboys hosting the Buffalo Bills in a game with playoff implications. The 6-5 Cowboys are a game up on the Eagles in the NFC East and it’s likely either division title or no playoffs. The 8-3 Bills are two games back of the Patriots in the AFC East, but also have a two-game lead for the top wild card spot.
This should be a fun matchup of dynamic quarterbacks and impressive ground games. Dak Prescott and Josh Allen are roller-coaster quarterbacks. Prescott is the clearly better of the two, but he is coming off a rough game against the top-ranked Patriots pass defense. Allen is an incredibly mobile quarterback, but his accuracy can be all over the place. The Bills bring a stout pass defense, while the Cowboys pass defense has been quietly solid this year.
Matchups are key, but it helps to see what the analytics are saying about potential performances. Looking at ESPN fantasy projections for season-long leagues (1/2 PPR setting), big days are expected for the passing games. Allen has gotten considerable help from John Brown and Cole Beasley, while Dak will have as close to a healthy Amari Cooper as he might get this season.
I feel like the run games could end up deciding this game, with that being the bigger area of weakness for both teams. Regardless, here are Week 13 Thanksgiving projections for Bills-Cowboys to help you further improve your fantasy chances!
