Damien Williams not practicing for Chiefs

Running back was only player who did not participate Wednesday.

Per coach Andy Reid, Kansas City Chiefs RB Damien Williams (ribs) was the only player not practicing Wednesday. This was a good sign for WR Tyreek Hill (hamstring), who is practicing in full today. The Chiefs are coming off their bye week, so it’s a bit concerning that Williams was unable to get in a practice after so much rest.

Williams exited Week 11 on Monday Night Football with the injury and had just four carries for seven yards and one catch for six yards in the win over the Los Angeles Chargers. If Williams is unable to go in Week 13 vs. the Oakland Raiders, LeSean McCoy would assume the role as the featured back for Kansas City.

Though Shady would likely take up most of the carries, Darrel Williams would be the change-of-pace back. Williams outplayed McCoy in Week 11, rushing for 35 yards on 11 carries with one TD. McCoy had 29 yards on seven carries and a TD, so we could see a similar split this week.
