Week 13 is here, and we are here to help you set the best possible lineup you can as you compete for the playoffs or a better seeding or to take your friend Steve out of the playoffs. Steve!
Injury/Status Report
Julio Jones didn’t practice on Tuesday, and his team plays Thursday. He could be a game-time decision this week against Tampa Bay.
Adam Thielen returned to practice following the bye. He is trending toward playing after the team dropped Josh Doctson.
T.Y. Hilton says he wasn’t able to go all out last week and that’s why he didn’t see much work. He didn’t sound overly optimistic about this week, but we’ll see how his status is later in the week.
Taylor Gabriel is in the concussion protocol, and likely won’t play on Thursday. Javon Wims will take his snaps.
Hunter Renfrow broke a rib that punctured his lung. Darren Waller and Tyrell Williams will remain the only startable receivers for Oakland.
Andy Reid is optimistic about Tyreek Hill’s hamstring injury. It doesn’t appear to be a bad injury, and he had the bye week to rest. He looks like he’ll play against the Raiders.
Golden Tate is in the concussion protocol. Sterling Shepard would likely see the most significant bump against the Packers.
WR Ranking Tiers
Tier 1
Michael Thomas remains the safe bet for the No. 1 spot, but Tyreek Hill is the riskier standard league receiver with a slightly higher upside. It looks like he will be a full go this week, but be sure to check back for news.
D.J. Chark has been inconsistent this season, but this week he gets a great matchup with the Buccaneers, who have given up 81 receptions for 1,044 yards and 11 touchdowns to wide receivers over the last five games. That’s a whole lot of fantasy points.
Tier 2
D.K. Metcalf and the Seahawks had windy conditions thwart them last week against Washington, but they get a great matchup against the Vikings pass defense at home this week. The Vikings allow the fifth-most fantasy points to wide receivers this year.
Tyrell Williams should see a few more looks with Hunter Renfrow out, and with the Chiefs likely putting up points on their defense, Carr will need to look Williams’ way more often.
WR Streamers
Alshon Jeffery was close to returning last week, and if he can get back out there in Week 13, he gets a matchup with the Dolphins depleted secondary. Miami has allowed the most touchdown passes to wide receivers this season, and Jeffery is usually a reliable target in the end zone.
James Washington remains a boom-or-bust option, but he’s already shown a connection with new quarterback Devlin Hodges, and if you’re looking for upside, he’s your man.
