Top 50 PPR Running Back rankings for Week 13 fantasy football

We take you through some of the best running backs going in Week 13 for fantasy football, including a few viable streamers.

Week 12 has left the building and Week 13 waits in the wings, ready to burst onto the stage and give us, what exactly? Well, that’s what we’re here to find out. The byes are over, so we get our full complement of players back, including the No. 2 fantasy back in the league, Dalvin Cook. We also get back whoever is healthiest or the least fumble-y of the Chiefs backs and The dynamic duo of Melvin Gordon and Austin Ekeler.

There will be plenty of decisions to be made, as many of us sit on the edge of the fantasy playoffs. Below we give you our PPR running back rankings and will update them Saturday night, so keep an eye on this spot!

Injury/Status Report

Devonta Freeman returned to practice on Tuesday. He’s got a decent chance to play Thanksgiving night.

James Conner said, “it will be a little bit longer” before he can play. Benny Snell should get the early-down work against the Browns this week.

Marlon Mack remains out for Week 13. Jonathan Williams should lead the backfield again this week against the Titans.

Cardinals coach Kliff Kingsbury expects Chase Edmonds to play against the Rams this week. That would give Kenyan Drake, David Johnson, and Edmonds into a committee that we have little clue on its construction coming out of the bye. We also can’t trust much of what Kingsbury says.

LeSean McCoy did not suffer a concussion against the Chargers two weeks ago, according to Andy Reid, so he should be okay to play against the Raiders. We are still waiting on word regarding Damien Williams’ rib injury coming off the bye.

Jordan Howard is still hindered by his shoulder injury, and there’s been no positive word about a return. Miles Sanders has taken over the job while he’s out.

RB Ranking Tiers

Tier 1

Christian McCaffrey remains head and shoulders above every back in the league, and this week he gets one of his easier matchups against Washington.

Alvin Kamara continues to have trouble finding the endzone, but his ability to catch many, many passes keeps him more than relevant in PPR leagues.

Le’Veon Bell hasn’t had big production this year, but he has maintained PPR appeal, and a matchup with the Bengals is a good spot for him to reach toward his upside.

Tier 2

Leonard Fournette gets a tough matchup with the Buccaneers, but he remains a great PPR player. Over his last four games, he’s caught 7, 5, 7, 9 targets, which keeps his floor extremely high, even when he doesn’t put up big yards or finds the end zone.

RB Streamers

Tarik Cohen is one of my favorite plays this week, and we get to watch him on Thanksgiving. He has seen a nice increase in work of late, with 9, 6, 4, and 5 receptions over his last four games. He’s even seen an increase in rushing attempts with 15 over his previous two games. The Lions are vulnerable to receiving backs, too, so he gets a nice boost this week.

Jamaal Williams has inconsistent usage behind Aaron Jones, but he had 18 touches last week after the bye and has two games over six receptions out of his previous three. He’s worth a start this week.
