49ers are first 10-1 team to be an underdog since 2007

Lamar Jackson is doing magical things, and it has a 10-1 team as an underdog in Week 13.

The Baltimore Ravens thumped the Los Angeles Rams 45-6 on Monday Night Football and it sets up a heck of a Week 13 matchup. The Ravens will host the San Francisco 49ers who crushed the Green Bay Packers 37-8 on Sunday Night Football.

The Ravens are now 9-2 while the 49ers are 10-1 coming into Week 13. It’s a potential Super Bowl preview, and the Ravens are favorites. Baltimore opened as a five-point favorite before Sunday Night Football kicked off. After the 49ers thumped the Packers, the line dropped to four points. The line has re-opened following the Ravens big win and Baltimore is a five-point favorite.

This marks a historical rarity for a team playing as well as the 49ers.

Both of these teams are rolling and it’s unfortunate this is a 1:00 p.m. game. The game could not be flexed into Sunday Night Football, and so a less than national audience will get a chance to watch two of the best teams in the league square off in Week 13.

It is going to be fascinating tracking the betting split on this matchup as the week progresses. The Ravens have now won seven straight games, with wins over playoff contenders like the Rams, Patriots, Texans, and Seahawks. The 49ers have won their last two after suffering their first loss of the season to the Seahawks, and are coming off a 37-8 thumping of the Packers. The public betting split will tell us a lot about how Lamar is viewed.
