In most Fantasy football leagues, this will be the last game of the regular season, which means you’ve either locked up a playoff spot or you’re looking forward to next season. Hopefully it’s the former and not the latter OR hopefully you’re team needs a win this week to get into the playoffs and you need some help off the waiver wire. No more byes and no more time wasted, here are your priority waiver adds for Week 13.
Bruce Irvin, DE, Carolina Panthers
He finally got a sack last week after going three straight games without one, but it’s not because he hasn’t gotten to the opposing Quarterbacks. Since Week 11, he has three QB hits with an average snap count over 70%; he should have a lot more opportunity against a Washington offensive line who’ve given up 13 total sacks over their last three games.
Nick Kwiatkoski, LB, Chicago Bears
Kwiatkoski was a notable add back in Week 5, but needs to be featured going into Week 13. He didn’t fill up the stat sheet on Sunday only grabbing five total tackles, but Chicago’s defense wasn’t on the field for very long only totaling 47 snaps in their win over the Giants. The Bears have a short week playing on Thanksgiving and we shouldn’t expect Danny Trevathan to be back for this game and Kwiatkoski has since totaled 95% of the snaps over the last couple of weeks with Trevathan out.
Derwin James, S, Los Angeles Chargers
It looks like the stud safety in Los Angeles will make his debut in Week 13 against the Denver Broncos who’ve not given up a ton of fantasy points to the opposing defensive backs, but have given up three pass defenses and an interception over the last two weeks. It’ll be tough to predict his usage in his first game back, but getting one of the best safety’s this late in the season is very rare. If he gets back to his weekly production from last season, he could easily be one of the best waiver wire additions all season.
