UPDATE: Midway through the fourth quarter, Amari Cooper has entirely disappeared from the game. There is no indication he has been hurt, and he has only been targeted once since that first quarter target. He caught a pass but it was wiped out by a penalty.
The Dallas Cowboys appear to be limited Amari Cooper’s snaps in Week 12 against the New England Patriots. A week after playing in only 56 percent of snaps against the Detroit Lions, Cooper is getting extensive sideline time against the Patriots. He has been targeted once and it resulted in an interception.
Sideline reporter Erin Andrews had a chance to report on the situation when Cooper was standing on the sideline as the Cowboys offense remained on the field. Andrews said none of the trainers had spoken to Cooper and he was standing on his own.
Cooper came off the team’s injury report this week after three straight practices described as full participation. That being said, he is not 100 percent and the knee injury will be something that potentially slows him a bit most of the rest of the season. Everybody is banged up in some form or fashion, but for Cooper, you’ll want to lower expectations a bit for at least the next couple weeks.
