It often doesn’t look pretty, but Jameis Winston is a fantasy stud despite his many, many turnovers. That proved to be true once again this week, as Winston quickly threw two interceptions in the first quarter. But between those interceptions, he also threw a 71-yard touchdown to Chris Godwin on a drive that started on their own three-yard line.
The Falcons managed to get back on top after a Qadree Ollison one-yard touchdown as the first quarter waned, but Winston owned the second quarter with two more touchdown passes to make it 19-10, a lead which they wouldn’t relinquish.
Those two touchdowns were of the one-yard variety, with one too 347-pound defensive tackle Vita Vea and the other to Chris Godwin, who made a great catch for his second touchdown of the half. He finished with his career high in receiving yards with 184 on seven receptions to go along with his two touchdowns. Both Godwin and Mike Evans passed 1,000 yards receiving, which is amazing to have two 1,000 yard receivers on the same team through 11 games.
Winston finished with 313 yard passing, three touchdowns and two interceptions. His interceptions keep hurting his fantasy upside but he alo continues his Top-10 play each week due to his great receivers and pass first offense.
