Cleveland Browns running back Kareem Hunt scored his first touchdown as a member of the team and continues to build on his role behind Nick Chubb. Heading into halftime, Hunt has rushed five times for 22 yards and a touchdown, and has caught two of three targets for nine yards.
The Browns signed Hunt after the Kansas City Chiefs released him. Hunt was suspended by the NFL for a violent incident with a woman at a hotel. The Browns signed him before the eight-game suspension was announced.
Cleveland was not concerned about the optics of the signing and as is often the case in the NFL, are simply looking to win football games. They’ve worked Hunt into their rotation and made him a regular option to complement Chubb. Such is the way things often work in the NFL.
