What to do with Ryan Tannehill, Corey Davis, A.J. Brown in Week 12 fantasy football

The Titans offense is suddenly showing some impressive signs of life with Ryan Tannehill at the helm. We break down the fantasy football implications heading into Week 12.

Tennessee Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill has emerged in recent weeks as a surprisingly decent quarterback. Apparently getting away from Adam Gase and the Miami Dolphins kind of helps. He replaced Marcus Mariota in the Titans starting lineup and scored at least 18.9 fantasy points in four straight games. At DraftKings, he has scored at least 19.42 DKFP each of the past four games.

This week, the Titans host the Jacksonville Jaguars in a must-win divisional game for both teams. The Jaguars rank 19th in total defensive efficiency, but are 11th against the pass. They’ve given up the 12th fewest fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks and the 17th fewest to opposing wide receivers. It’s not a great unit, but it’s in that average to above average gray area.

Fantasy football analysis: Ryan Tannehill, Corey Davis, A.J. Brown

Tannehill is a solid start this week, but it’s hard to justify starting either of his leading wide receivers. Corey Davis sat out the team’s pre-bye matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs, while A.J. Brown caught only one of his four targets, netting 17 receiving yards. Neither is worth starting this week, although Davis will be worth watching coming back from injury.

If you normally start Patrick Mahomes or Kirk Cousins, this bye week is a decent time to consider Tannehill. I don’t think anybody would have suggested that a month ago, but things can change in a hurry. He’s suddenly a viable fantasy option as he might just be turning his career around.
