The San Francisco 49ers will get tight end George Kittle back in the lineup at the perfect time. The 49ers will welcome in the Green Bay Packers in what could be a preview of this year’s NFC Championship game. Kittle has missed the past two games due to knee and ankle injuries. After a breakout season last year, Kittle has had a bit of a down year in comparison, though he had at least six catches and double-digit fantasy points in the two games prior to going down.
Fantasy football analysis: San Francisco 49ers tight ends
Kittle should go back to being one of Jimmy Garoppolo’s top options in the passing game, though we’ve seen Deebo Samuel emerge as the top WR over the past couple weeks. Samuel and slot receiver Emmanuel Sanders are both expected to play, so the 49ers will have their full arsenal of weapons on offense. Really the only player who isn’t playing is RB Matt Breida. Obviously with Kittle back, Ross Dwelley should see limited snaps and isn’t really a fantasy football option anymore.
So with Kittle active, you can feel free to roll him out as you normally would in season-long leagues. The Packers allow a lot of yards per game, though they’re coming off a bye week and have done a good job limiting points this season. Kittle is $8,400 on DraftKings Showdown slate for tonight, and wouldn’t be a bad play in the Captain’s slot $12,600.
